Low Back Mobility Exercise Sheet

See our Low Back Mobility Exercise sheet in the Exercise Library that details ways of getting your low back mobile to help with a range of back pain complaints.

Spinal pain and low back pain are common complaints and, at the Spine and Sports Injury Clinic (SSi covering the Margate, Broadstairs, and Ramsgate areas), we often find that getting people more mobile helps in managing and improving the discomfort. When combined with manual therapy (including manipulative therapy, soft tissue manipulation, acupuncture, rehabilitation exercises, etc) these mobility exercises can be very effective in speeding up the recovery process. When performed regularly they can also be helpful in reducing the recurrence of pain as well.

At the Spine and Sports Injury clinic we promote self-help measures to allow people to take better care of their own pain and improve their management, there by reducing the need for lengthy treatment courses. With that in mind see our Lifestyle Advice Library for additional sheets on the management of acute and chronic back pain.

Before commencing any exercise sheet or adopting any lifestyle advice always ensure it is suitable for your pain. If you are unsure then please contact us to discuss your pain complaint further. Please be aware all exercises and lifestyle adaptions should be completely pain free to perform, and should pain occur please stop and contact us at SSi.
